Nothing like a fire alarm at 1:30am to get the blood moving. It's borderline worse than when your mom comes in the room clapping of all things, (who ever decided that was a good idea) belting out "singing in the rain" lyrics. Close second. (love you, mom). but let me tell you, 12 flights of stairs is an awful dizzy walk when you're woken up to a loud blaring noise, lucky for me i racked out on the couch hours earlier and found myself fully dressed. thank you to those brave firemen who waltzed on into an apt complex lobby full of hundreds of tired, delirious people and carefully inspected the first floor.
Well, at least it was good to see the neighbors...
So what now? I have energy and the other 6 of my roommies fell back asleep. probably for the best, we have to be up in 3 hours anyway. this is my last full week for awhile, next week we get monday off and i leave thursday for utah. my little sarah's all grown up and getting hitched. and then it's thanksgiving, thank heaven. this is good news for me but i know someone is gonna feel bad for me, but we started christmas music in choir last week. so everyday i'm enveloped in the sweet sounds... i'm gonna be so ready for christmas.
Duke Ellington had their Variety Show on Saturday and i brought a bunch of people. i was a little shocked at the amount of swearing they let happen, and the cage dancing was completely over the line. The kids enjoyed themselves i think but that could have been my first and last VS. The talent is high, the expectations for wholesome entertainment, depressingly low. such is the life of a 21st century high school student.
Let's be honest, i don't have much to say right now, i should prolly climb back into bed and call it good. My weeks here are quickly coming to a close, it's amazing how fast it's all flown by. come get a visit in while you still can... i'll save you a spot on the other couch.

Mikale, what is going on in your complex?! Does someone keep burning their popcorn or what?!
Aren't you glad I only clapped and sang a happy tune instead of blaring a siren in your ears. (OK...don't answer that). Hope you were able to catch up with sleep!
